Low Carbon Diet

Let us be on the Low Carbon Diet for a Healthy Climate!

- What I did was followed the Low Carbon Diet Lifestyle to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions for a healthy climate. I unplug charges after using, I don't buy sodas in can, I recycled papers, I participate in energy conservation at home and I said to my dad that car idling is bad and it may affect the climate so we stop it.
- I learned that I can participate in reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions by just doing some simple things. I also learned to be more careful of my acts because it may contribute to Greenhouse Gas emissions and Global Warming.
- I can apply my learnings to my daily life and help reduce Greenhouse gas emissions and to motivate my family and friends to take care of our environment.

TRIVIA:
~The properties of the atmosphere (water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, etc.) all contribute to the Greenhouse effect, so there’s more than just one gas causing it.
~The temperature of Earth will be below 0 degrees Celsius without the Greenhouse Gas. This is because we need the greenhouse gases to trap the heat inside to keep us warm, just like a normal greenhouse keeps traps heat inside to keep plants warm.
~The lower atmosphere that contains Greenhouse Gas is Troposphere. This troposphere , which is about 10 kilometers  thick, also contains oxygen for us to breathe in addition to the greenhouse  gas.

Rain Gauge

-What I did was record the amount of precipitate and write it down on my notes. I also search for weather forecast for today and for the following days and record it on my journal.
- I learned how to measure the precipitate by using meter stick in Manual Rain Gauge, and there is two kinds of Rain Gauge; the Manual Rain Gauge and the Digital Rain Gauge. The Manual Rain Gauge needs a meter stick to know how much rain fall it collected, while Digital Rain Gauge doesn't need a meter stick because it just display how much it collected.
- I can apply my learnings to everyday life and to know what the weather will be.

Trivia:
~Manual Rain Gauge is usually measured by millimeters while Digital Rain Gauge is measured by inches.
~Rain Gauge is a meteorological instrument for determining the depth of precipitation that occurs over a unit area and thus measuring rainfall amount.
